Over the last few years, I made it my mission to try out all coffee bars in the center of Antwerp. I am not yet done, but I can already cross off over sixty different bars.
My favorite order? A cappuccino! Bonus points if it has a cinnamon or speculoos addition to it. Breakfast of choice is yoghurt with granola, fluffy pancakes or a pastry (like a cinnamon bun!)

A Fresh Tart

When you're located on het Eilandje you automatically already have a top location. Combine this with delicious pastries and coffee, you have a good deal! This spot is more used for takeaway, but there are a few seats if you want to eat as well. Note: they moved closer to the center since then.

Is this the most cozy terrace of the list? It may very well be! Combining your coffee bar with a small book store automatically grants you coziness points as well.

Located in a small side street of the Kammenstraat, might blink and miss it. Very small so you will likely opt to sit outside. Very nice terrace that is extra enjoyable in the summer.

You might need to wait in line a while before ordering, but there is a reason it is so busy. Very good coffee, very nice (vegan!) pastries.

This was a very accidental find after a long walk along de Schelde. They are more breakfast and lunch focused, but the coffee was undeniably good as well. I will have to go back for the food options.

More of a cafe than a coffee bar, with very wide options for their menu and very ranging opening hours. Lots of places to sit, inside and outside. This usually gets pretty busy starting from midday, but it is definitely worth a visit.

Coffeebar with exclusively vegan menu items. Only went here once so far because every time I pass by it is incredibly full, which shows you how good it is. I recommend trying the cinnamon bun if you're ever there.
The Yellow Window

Not too far from the Great Market is The Yellow Window Coffee House! Usually visited by a lot of international customers so the conversations you happen to overhear tend to be interesting. Used Shazam a lot to get the ins and outs of the playlist that was playing. Also very, very comfortable to sit with a lot of comfy chairs.

The very second coffee bar I ever visited on my tour. Ideal to read or get a bit of work done. Very nice breakfast options as well. You can also visit ToiToiToi Crème Glace if you are in the mood for ice cream instead!

Very nice interior with neon elements that is truly a vibe. I took a few photos of the decorations by themselves because I liked it so much. The coffee and service was great. Very popular with students.
